Amazon has launched their own brand of electronics. The AmazonBasics range currently includes cables and blank media but will be expanded to include other items in the near future.
Global Buddhist leader, Karmapa Lama Trinley Dorje, believes that playing violent games offers therapy and make players least likely to commit the same acts in the real world. How does he know this? He plays video games. In a recent interview with the The Times of India the Karmapa Lama said, "The aggression that comes out in the video game satiates whatever desire I might have to express that feeling."
Charlie Brooker's video gaming one-off BBC show, Gameswipe, will air next week. The program comes highly recommended after the cult success of Brooker's Screenwipe on BBC4. You can catch Gameswipe at 10:00pm on September 29th on BBC4.
The PS3 will be getting its much anticipated motion-sensing controller this spring according to leaked Sega/SCEA documents. The leaked info also refers to Dreamcast titles and Japanese Import sections coming to PSN. Sony has yet to comment. CVG has a great rundown of what exactly the docs contained.
Uncharted 2 is expected to hit store shelves on 16th October according to Sony. However, developer Naughty Dog has denied the release date via twitter.
The Dutch National team will be included in FIFA 10. The game is out on 2nd October.
Finally, World of Warcraft has returned to China. After two months of downtime at a cost of $150K a day, Blizzard must be delighted to have the lights back on in potentially their largest market.
