UKeSA Grand Finals Still On June 20th and 21st
UKeSA Grand Finals Still On June 20th and 21st
Posted by SmellyMoss on Jun 9th 2009 18:29
Due to the postponement of GameOn! London, the original venue for the UKeSA Season 1 Grand Finals, the UKeSA is pleased to announce a new venue of the Finals. The Finals will now take place at the Northern & Shell Tower in Docklands, London, on June 20th & 21st.
Many gamers will already be familiar with the venue as it was the home of XLEAGUE.TV for over 18 months. The benefits of this move mean that the UKeSA Grand Finals will also be hitting the television airwaves in the not too distant future. The entire weekend will be broadcast live on QuadV.com with some of the most recognisable commentators in eSports including Stuart Saw, Paul Chaloner, Jay Atkins, Matt Hoving and guest caster, Mike Bembenek.
The UKeSA Grand Finals will see £40,000 of cash prizes awarded to teams competing on both PC and console in CounterStrike: Source, Team Fortress 2, Call of Duty 4, FIFA 2009, Halo 3 and CounterStrike 1.6, in the Dell XPS Premiership, UKeSA Championship and Alienware Cups. The tournament schedule and details can be found at: http://www.enemydown.eu/content/ukesagrandfinals
Please note that the event will only be open to competitors, managers, media and press.
If you require further information, please contact Mike Bembenek at mike.bembenek@ukesa.com.

Nowhere on Decerto does it say that, you need to read the news post I made again rather than just skim reading it mate.

i received a link, so i am basing it from that thankyou, so keep the assumptions away thankyou..
Is the above information 100% accurate then?

Yes it is Potential.

the link i recieved may not be what you have posted. I do not use the decerto forums. So any information that i gained on these finals is the info i have read above.. Feel free to link me the thread that you have posted on.

smelly whilst you are around, i am just wondering whats going to happen about prizes at this place? Like the prize ceremony is still on sunday? What happens with the prizes on the day? Just a few people have been asking.. thanks
SmellyMoss said: (Jun 09 2009 at 18:13:16 BST)
Prizes will be given out as per terms and conditions which I believe is 28 to 60 days. Standard for business. Don't hold me to that. I do know they won't be given out on the day due to Community Council diciplinary stuff, etc... sorry to be of zero help there.
Potential said: (Jun 09 2009 at 18:28:43 BST)
No thats ok. So we will only need to attend for the day we have our game on?
SmellyMoss said: (Jun 09 2009 at 18:34:41 BST)
Yup.

haha sensation!! lol
SmellyMoss said: (Jun 10 2009 at 00:47:15 BST)
What do you need notice for? I think a week is enough time to make sure you can get from one end of London to the other and stay an extra 30 minutes... ;)

Potential you clearly misread my post here:
http://www.decerto-esports.eu/showthread.php?t=6061
I was the only person to post that the finals had had the venue moved, and I can't see how you misunderstood this:
''GameOn! London has been officially moved to November 2009, thus the UKeSA LAN Finals have had to change venue. They will now be taking place ON THE SAME DATES at the old XLeague studios at Canary Wharf; the exact location is the Northern & Shell Tower, 4 Selsdon Way, London E14 9GL.''
Nobody else posted about the UKeSA venue being moved apart from myself, so yeah.
