EDTF2L: Season 5 Standings & Two Week Catch Up
EDTF2L: Season 5 Standings & Two Week Catch Up
Posted by SmellyMoss on Jun 1st 2009 17:58
The regular season of the ED Team Fortress 2 League is wrapping up with a two week 'catch up' period now starting. Teams have the next two weeks to finish up their matches before the Winners Cups are announced on June 14th.
Taking a quick look at the standings of the 9 division league, the action is as tight as it comes. Division 8 was a three horse race with only 3 points separating Living on the Edge (3rd) and Team Effort (2nd) from Monkey Gamers (1st). Division 7 saw Lapinou Team take the group with 18 points, just nudging out GoVernative and A.S. eQuiD from the top spot. In Division 6, eXorior ad astra walked away from the pack with ease with a clear 5 point lead over their closest rivals, Suitcase Nuke.
Division 5's gladiatori didn't have it so easy with Xen making a strong case for number one. Both teams still have games to play; a combination of a gladiatori loss and a Xen win would mean a tie for first place in Division 5. SnoopY, Freedom Fighters and the Special Air Service have made Division 4 the group to watch with only a point separating the three teams. However, it is SnoopY that have snuck into first place. YoYoTech have taken Division 3 by a clear margin over second place Invaders and Yes!. In Division 2, three teams have went undefeated (veare .black, Hampshire Heavies, Special Attack). Special Attack currently sit in first place but if black have anything to say about that, it won't be for long. In the top amateur division, Dead Cows Strike Back have easily taken the group with 16 points.
Rounding up the action, the TF2 ED Premiership is a close race between Crack and Dignitas. Both teams still have a game in-hand which makes a swap in spots still possible.
With a number of games still to play, remember these standings are not final. You can check out the current league standings on the event page. Good luck in any remaining games.
