Battlefield 1943 has a rumoured release date now. The console versions look to be arriving on June 20th and the PC version on September 30th, 2009. Check out the trailer here.

The Sims 3 is already available online through torrent tracking sites. EA has said that the latest version of the franchise, which is due out on June 5th, does not require online activation to play.

Steam was updated in the early hours of this morning. You can apply the update by clicking 'File' and 'Check for Steam Client Updates.' Changes include mod name issues, OpenGL fixes, client hangs and chat room reconnect problems. More information is available from Steam.

Age of Conan turns one today. The troubled MMO is celebrating the big day by giving players free fireworks and additional character slots. I'm still trying to figure out who actually plays the game.

Microsoft have patented a "magic wand" device that is similar to the Wii Remote. Rumours are already surrounding the release of a Microsoft motion cam at E3. Could they have another gadget up their sleeves? Tech Flash get the credit for this one.

3D Realms is still alive and kicking according to Eurogamer. I would write more about this but I don't actually care anymore. I don't think anyone else does anymore.

CVG is reporting that Capcom Japan will not be attending any events outside of Japan due to Swine Flu fears. Not surprising considering what happened with bird flu.

Bungie have added a Render-to-Video service for Halo 3 that is now in Beta testing. The service allows players to render Halo clips directly to their Bungie fileshare for use on a PC.
