Transactions: Crack Lose Ritch, Dignitas Sign Appz
Posted by SmellyMoss on May 15th 2009 15:05
Two Transactions posts in one week! Tons of action going on at the moment with Call of Duty 4 taking another hit.
Speed-Link lose CoD squad (CoD4)
These tough economic times look to have taken their toll on Speed-Link. The MGO recently told their CoD side that they needed to reduce spending thus could only offer the team limited LAN support. The side promptly decided to leave the team and are now called 4 and a half men. Team member nreo said, "We placed our faith in SPEED-LINK and were willing to stay if there were any chance they could send us to at least two of the three major summer events. However, it was made clear to us last week that they would not be able to send us to TEX09 or i37. We realized and understood their own difficulties but we feel as a team we can challenge for at least a top3 finish at every event."
Crack Clan pick up Breeze (TF2)
CC have signed on a second Team Fortress 2 team in the form of Breeze. The ETF2L Division 3 side will compete as an amateur side for CC in a number of leagues and tournaments.
Crack lose Ritch (CSS)
After some roster teething problems post-Gadget Show Live, CC have let go of Ritch. The change comes after in-team arguments came to a head and a change was drastically needed. Crack Manager, Ben Woodward, has tried to dispell any rumours surrounding the side and said in an audioBoo, "There have been quite a few rumours going around sites like cadred.org that the team is no longer together and that the we've disbanded, just wanted to tell you guys now as a bit of a heads up, exclusive as it were, to the twitter followers that this isn't the case there have been changes made in the lineup that we should be announcing in the next few days."
Dignitas drop Sasori, sign Vard (Halo 3)
Halo veteran Sasori has been dropped as the temporary stand-in for Dignitas' Halo squad. They've brought a tank in the form of Vard. The former Imperial player is one of the top slayers in Europe and will look to fill the hole created by long time Dignitas player Omega who left team several months ago.
Team YoYo Tech add Batzor (CoD4)
YoYoTech have moved Rework into a substitute roll on their Call of Duty 4 side and replaced him with Batzor. Where is the drama?! CC CoD4 captain, Death said, "I would like to wish BatzoR the best of luck in YYT and want to thank Gavin for being a part of this team for so long and wish him luck in what ever he decides to do I am also looking forward to many months ahead with this new line-up."
Dignitas sign Appz (TF2)
Team Dignitas TF2 has taken a blow with Masiina asking for time off due to commitment issues. To help fill the void left by the sudden departure the team has signed on Appz. Some members of the TF2 community are already calling this the end of Dignitas' domination in European TF2.
Heaven Media pick-up Gonzo & Durus, lose Goodeh
HM have made some changes over at Cadred. Coming into the fold is UKeSA Community Council member, Gonzo, along with Call of Duty 4 reporter, DuRus. Max Silver aka Goodeh has left the company.
