A new trailer for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 was aired by Activision during the NBA playoffs. The trailer features Hughes MH-6 Little Bird helicopters, MiG-29 fighter jets, commandos in scuba gear and a wicked looking snowmobile chase ala Die Hard 2. Thanks to t0m for giving me the heads up on this. You can watch the trailer here.
Two new game-based movies are in the works. The Gears of War movie has been in the pipeline for awhile and now has The Rock (Dwayne Johnson - don't and try and fool us Rocky, you'll always be The Rock) attached to play Marcus Fenix. Word on the street is that Call of Duty is also being shopped as a film by Activision.
A new patch for Day of Defeat: Source has been released on Steam. The minor update stops players from firing weapons without recoil.
Ubisoft have released a new patch for Far Cry 2 that fixes the corrupted save-game issue that has plagued the title since release. The patch also allows players to play ranked matches on user designed maps.
Jerry Bruckheimer is starting a development studio with MTV. Staff who are rumoured to be involved include Halo 3 Exec Jim Veevaert and former Ubisoft Exec Jay Cohen. No word on what they are going to make yet according to Eurogamer.

SEGA are planning to release an entire hamper of classic titles this summer on Xbox Live according to Eurogamer. Altered Beast, Shinobi, Gunstar Heroes and Sonic are all coming to Live in the not-so-distant future. I've been attempting to get the girlfriend into gaming to little success and old Mega Drive titles could be just what the doctor ordered.
Last week Duke Nukem developer 3D Realms called it a day leaving the future of long anticipated Duke Nukem Forever in the air. Well, it seems that some pissed off designers decided to leak full HD screenshots, layout art and spreadsheets detailing aspects of the title. You can take a look at it all over at IGN.

Thief 4 has been confirmed by Eidos Montreal. The last edition of the stealth series, Thief: Deadly Shadows, was released five years ago. No details on platforms or a release date yet. My only problem with this announcement has been the fact that they are spelling the title THI4F. I don't know about you but that looks like Thiaf to me.
Virgin Media have announced that they are testing 200Mbps broadband in Ashford, Kent. Too bad the UK has some of the worst cable infrastructure on planet Earth. Other problems with 200Mbps internet include the fact that home routers can't handle a connection that fast (802.11g routers can only move around 54Mbps) and that most home computers have only 100Mbps network cards. Don't get me wrong though, it's still cool that they are testing this.
