Love them or hate them, Activision/Blizzard will be churning out sequels and expansions for the foreseeable future. I am all for supporting the underdog in life, so when huge corporate machines get their grasp on the games industry I’m always a little concerned. But at least these two powerhouses are, at the moment, putting out some amazing games.
Looking back to when the PlayStation 2 was in its prime, EA where knocking out more appalling movie spin off platform titles and crap games aimed at the lad culture than a prepubescent has erotic daydreams in a maths class.
Activision has named the next Call of Duty game in development as Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2. Not a grab you by the nuts title by anyone’s imagination. Activision will wish to keep the consumers mind closely linking back to its big brother in order to maximise its unit sales know doubt.
Cards are being held very closely to chests regarding the game content; one can only assume that the game has not moved too far into the future with its close linking in the name to the previous title. I could be very wrong however and see servers full of hover boards and calling in of laser strikes from the orbiting satellite followed by a wave of robo-hamsters flying into your pockets to annoyingly eat your genitals. Fingers crossed this is not going to be the sequel that BF2142 was to BF2 (sorry to fans of the game but I for one was not).
Activision has also stated they are working closely with the Microsoft owned company Massive Inc to embed more adverts into its games. Guitar Hero 5 has already had screenshots displayed with Burger King adverts displayed to the right of the note highway. Massive Inc are the guys behind the Barack Obama ads in Burnout Paradise.
Ads I don’t mind, but let’s just see quality games to go alongside the corporate stuff, time will tell.

Well aslong as its infinity ward i dont care they have made the best cod games :) my only worry is that brining out a game every year is abit risky for the community for example i still know loads of people playing cod2 and that was out somthing like 4 years ago

It's actually speculative, but it could be good news.
