30 Second Rundown: Marvel v Capcom & Stalin v Martians

Stalin takes on the Martians beginning on April 29th and Marvel vs Capcom is confirmed

Free Xbox Live Gold! This weekend only! Free multiplayer runs from May 1st to 4th and is part of MS's Xtival event.

A few games coming out this week that may or may not whet your appetite: Velvet Assassin (360, Wii, PC) & X-Men Origins: Wolverine (360, Wii, PC, PS3).

Empire: Total War is getting a big update next week that will fix several glitches, improve the AI in naval combat and allow AI to make naval invasions. Over 70 bugs are being fixed in the patch.

You can now play Bejeweled and Peggle inside World of Warcraft... no, seriously check it out here.

Left4Dead on the PC has been given another update courtesy of Valve. The patch removed a survival related command exploit and now shows the progress of multiple criteria achievements. The 360 will be getting a whopper of an update shortly. In related news, L4D could be coming to the PS3 but Valve has still not confirmed the rumour. Originally, Valve said they would not port the title to the PS3 as they would have to remake the entire game.

Marvel vs. Capcom 2 has been confirmed by Capcom. The title will be out this summer for the 360 and PS3 with the latter getting a demo around April 30th.

Eurogamer has the goods on the release of Stalin vs. Martians, which comes out on Wednesday, Apirl 29th. "Fans of historically inaccurate World War II games everywhere will rejoice," according to the EP at Mezmer Games, Tom Söderlund.

Konami has binned its Iraq-based FPS, Six Days in Fallujah. One Last Continue has a great rundown of the chain of events that led to its demise... or possible revival.

Finally, Battlestations: Pacific. The latest trailer features tons of footage of kamikaze pilots flying planes into ships. I am putting two and two together and saying you may be able to do this in game. Poor taste? I don't think so but some will disagree.
