Alienware Cup UKeSA Season 1: FIFA 09

It's the day of the Jakal in Group 1 as the brother of Dell XPS Premiership star Dignitas Motown/Classic goes 3-0 with a +12 GD to move on to the knockouts along with YoYoTech's Skamzz. Oddly enough, that +12 is equal to -12 GD that Jakal's competition had combined in the group.
Group 2 has the second YoYoTech player in the Alienware Cup going through in the form of the 3-0 hawksey. Joining him is Team Infused's Ben who went 2-1 with a +2 GD. Both of these players have a + GD which must take the sting out of Commmet's last place finish. He managed to drop each game by only a goal to go 0-3.
YoYoTech seals the deal with their third and final FIFA player making the cut in Group 3. Pimpz went 3-0 to grab a slot in the playoffs. We are still waiting for the second player to be confirmed from Group 3 with ZyGON currently the favourite over Monkay.
Group 4 is where the real action took place with all 3 players in the group walking away with a loss and two wins. Unlucky for DS Jester, it will be The Imperial's AdamW and sozshark moving on to the Quarter Finals. A lack of goals was Jester's undoing and he made his voice heard via the ED forums by saying, "Really getting annoyed by players putting 6-7 players in really defensive postions and just through balling it to there fast strikers all games!"
The knockouts will be up soon with matches set to go on April 30th, 2009.

Ploughing their way into the Semi Finals with a little maths from Group 1 is it's a farm! and YoYoTech Squared. Both teams managed to draw the last place DCSB Red to go 1-1-0 before their Round 3 match-up. Unfortunately, we're going to have to wait for this result until Monday due to YoYo's Demoman's girlfriend coming over. Relationshipsmlaishionship.
Group 2 was all Vale! as they managed to vacuum pack their place in the playoffs with wins in Rounds 1 and 2. They're scheduled to take on idk? this week. A win for idk would mean second place and a place in the next round. If they lose by 2 rounds or less they should still be in but anything more than that, combined with a 4-0 win by Pul Kai, and they're in trouble. extenSia! would be doing idk a big favour by winning that one.
Once the above matches take place and the scores confirmed, match-ups will be posted and ready to go on April 30th!

UKeSA is into Round 2 of the CoD4 portion of the Alienware Cup Season 1. The sneaky Italians, Quadrifolio are currently sitting pretty in both the Cup and the UKeSA Championship. They've sealed their spot in the Grand Finals of the Champs and are now looking to do the same in the Cup after a 13-0 win over Veritas. The YoYoTech Dragons currently sit in second.
Speaking of the 13-0, that's also the scoreline that Celsus beat nwave by. YoYoTech managed to keep it much closer against the Enro Griffins, losing 13-10. Here are the current standings with Round 3 is set to go on Sunday, April 26th.

The gauntlet that is the CS:S Alienware Cup was underway on ED on Sunday night. Walking away with wins were Good Looking Gamers (29-1 over Think), Vital Gaming (17-13 over dstruct) and nwave (default over Veritas). The Imperial and Envision both had the week off. Kudos go out to Hardie for his match report of the Vital v dstruct affair.
Round 2 goes on Sunday, April 26th.

Ban more than 4 defenders please. If you want to catch up with the rest of the FIFA world, that's what to do.

You can't ban more than 4 defenders. but custom formations should be banned in my opinion and just stick to defaults. not just for the premiership but across all fifa tournaments to do with enemy down/ukesa.proves which players can play the game with skill.

Yeh i agree, I feel Fifa 08 was a much better test of skill since there were none of these stupid custom formations.
