CS: Russian Walking Fix Uproar
CS: Russian Walking Fix Uproar
Posted by SmellyMoss on Apr 23rd 2009 14:44
Counter-Strike 1.6 has received an update courtesy of Valve. The latest update has caused uproar within the community after fixes to the title left it almost unplayable competitively. To help stop 'silent crouch hopping' aka Russian walking, Valve added a sound to any jump motion made in the game. This has left teams and players of the title crying foul. The only real question I have is, "why now?" The last update to the title was moons ago and only now Valve have deemed itnecessary to fix this issue.
This is the beauty of Steam. Are Valve updating their games more and more now so they spotlight on Steam? Fixing this bug is a great way of drawing former 1.6 addicts back in although this seems to have backfired for the time being.

umm, i doubt you can really say they love ruining stuff if they make the games you play competetively, its there choice what they do to the game in the updates so why even bother complain about it after theyve done it? its not like there going to change it back? =D

tbh most leagues have banned crouch bugging, and fixing it most likey will lead to more bugs, might as well leeve it alone as it is
