Game releases galore in the next two weeks! Are you ready for this...
Out Now - Halo Wars (360), EndWar (PC), Cryostasis (PC), Killzone 2 (PS3)
March 4th - Empire: Total War (PC)
March 6th - Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X. (360), Encyclopaedia Britannica Children's Encyclopedia (PC)
If you ever want to get Icarus all hot and sweaty, just mention Empire: Total War.
Guinness World Records have released a top 50 games of all time list. The word Mario appears 4 times in the top 20... Goldeneye is number 10. I smell conspiracy! The full list is over on Eurogamer.
You've probably already heard about the Playstation disease... and I thought it was just the price! (comedy drum roll) Seriously though, if you haven't heard of it, own a Playstation and have something wrong with your hands from playing too much Metal Gear... go see a doctor now. Check out the story over on CVG.
If seems that some parents actually do care about what games their children play. Take Hugh Spencer, father of Evan. When Evan asked permission to play T-rated (PEGI 18+) Call of Duty: World at War his father had only one condition - that Evan and his teammates play by the rules set forth by the Geneva Conventions. Oddly enough the game features no prisoners of war or non-combatants, the guts of the treaties. Props go out to David Hinkle from Joystiq for the story.

What's so good about Empire: Total War.?

Icarus is a Total nut. To be fair, he talks about it so much that i've become excited by it. It's also been getting some pretty awesome reviews.
Update: I've dl'ed the demo. It is awesome.

If you want to upset Graze - just mention Darkfall and then laugh at him.

Final Fantasy XII at 8, FFVII at 20?
I declare the above mentioned list ridiculous.

All of this is redundant as I have a cold & feel terrible; I demand sympathy NOW!
As for new releases I've just sent the Missus out to Blockbuster to get 'Killzone 2' and 'Halo Wars'.
Will today be a good'un now or will I be drowned in the dark pool of disappointment?
All I really want is 'Ghostbusters: The Video Game' (catchy title) and 'Aliens: Colonial Marines', I've become fixated upon them & their release dates.

ERM no Doom in the top 50? Also no classic early ZX games Jet Set Willy!! Yeah list is a little :/ But seeing as Total war has a mention in this news I can relax.
EDIT Not had my coffee yet and still had a sour taste in my mouth from this list "Most influential" REALLY so Outrun 2 is more Influential than Outrun !! How does that work and It looking at that list games only started when consoles where born. Most of the influential games where arcade only I wont list but pretty obvious I will shout Gauntlet though as that amazes me. Looks like a list of these guys favorite games not the most influential and lasting.. /me goes for brew.
EDIT What's so good about Empire: Total War.?
Well hopefully they have included the promised multilayer campaign mode meaning you can play a mate over weeks or months instead of just 1 battle but If you are not a fan of the total war series then that extra feature may not give you lumps in special places like it does for me:)
