No. The UKeSA is about grassroots gaming and will offer an opportunity for players to play no matter what their skill level.
The UKeSA has three divisions:
Open Division
Amateur teams and players can enter. Anyone can play!
Championship Division
Semi-professional teams and players can enter. Anyone who wants to taking their gaming to the next level.
Premiership Division
Professional teams and players. The best of the best player here.
Players must be at least 15 years of age and over. Managers must use BBFC and PEGI guidelines when creating a roster.
Players that are currently banned on Enemy Down, XAC or XLEAGUE.TV remain banned. Managers may appeal against a ban to the Community Council.
Yes, as long as they play for a team that is a UK Limited company or a British manager who holds the IP rights for the team.
The UKeSA is about promoting UK gaming and UK teams and talent. However, the UKeSA was created to help promote UK teams. The UKeSA wants to make the UK the destination for eSports worldwide. In order to make the UKeSA as competitive as possible, the UKeSA is open to foreign players taking part. However, they must play for a UK based team or manager. Think of it like the Football Association - teams are all UK based, but they can acquire players from any where in the world.
