- Declarations
1. Using any kind of cheat is STRICTLY FORBIDDEN.
2. Inappropriate decal "sprays" in-game are punishable at an Admin's discretion.
3. Admins reserve the right to punish anybody found to be "scripting" things like bunnyhop, no-recoil or burstfire (and others). Please note that using buy scripts and other legal binds is allowed.
4. Abusing bugs (including map, game and engine bugs) is classed as cheating.
5. Enemy Down operates a very strict policy with regards to cheating. If you suspect a player/clan of cheating during an ED match, please let us know by contacting an admin in #edadmins on quakenet, or alternatively by submitting a conflict. Please provide a URL so that we may download any evidence that you have to support your claim. Please note: It is a Clan Leaders' responsibility to ensure that their clan remains cheat-free. Clan leaders caught cheating will force us to remove their clan as all trust will be broken.
6. VAC must be enabled for all Half Life and Half Life 2 modifications. If there are issues with VAC availability, clans are within their rights to reschedule an event match or void a ladder or PCW match.
7. All PB enabled game servers must be streamed through Punkbusted, PBbans, or game-violations for all associated gametypes (please refer to your game specific rules for clarification). Alternatively please refer to PunksBusted Streaming Info as an aid in setting up Punkbusted streaming, our preferred partner.
1. You are NOT allowed to be in more than one clan playing the same game in ED. If your other clan does not play in ED, you have nothing to worry about. We take dual-clanning very seriously in ED and reserve the right to take action should we discover players taking part in ED matches for more than one clan.
2. Unique IDs are required; these ID`s vary from game to game. Please refer to the site help for more information. The IDs should be checked BEFORE the match starts, and you will be given up to 5 minutes for this task (if the match starts at 9.00, the first five until 9.05 will be for checking ID's). If a full team does not show until after the 15 minute waiting period and the match commences before the other players arrive the ID's may be checked after the match. If a clan is playing with players not verified then the opposition should inform them of this before the match starts. The clan should then substitute the offending player(s). Clans may be given up to 15 minutes to change players, after which the match should start. If the clan refuses, they will lose by default.
1. All clans are required to keep an up to date members list, complete with the correct Unique IDs in place. It is the clan leaders' responsibility to ensure that they have enough registered players available for a match. Clans must only field players for matches that are listed on the members page.
2. Where applicable, the correct Unique ID for each player must be listed on the ED clan members page. If a clan is found to have played a match with an incorrect Unique ID, or a player whose Unique ID is not listed on the members page, then that clan risks a default loss should a complaint be made by the opposing clan. Please refer to your games specific rules as to whether Unique IDs are required.
3. You may add new players to your squad at any time, however, you cannot field a player that has been updated within 3 days of a match (player with a red cross). You can easily see who is allowed to play by viewing the clan members' page, allowed players show a tick, and newly updated players show a cross.
4. In the event of a substitution, the ID may be verified after the match.
5. Players without verified ID's (i.e. players with red crosses) are never allowed to play in official matches. This is regardless of any agreements between clans. Red-crossed players MAY take part in PCW's but only if the opposing clan agrees. Players not registered on ED (i.e. not appearing on the clan's ED member's page) may NOT take part in ANY ED-related matches, even if the opposition agrees. Where this happens, the match will be voided and both clans may be punished at the admins' discretion.
6. Players that do not have signed up user accounts on ED (i.e., players on the clan roster as 'grey-face' players) may NOT play in official ED matches, regardless of any agreements between clans. Un-registered players may play PCW matches, but only with the agreement of the opposing clan.
7. Players should not use anyone else's gameid in any enemydown matches. Players caught using someone else's gameid will face a playing ban.
8. Locked Rosters. In an event where locked rosters are present, all users are reminded to have signed up to their chosen clan and entered their correct game unique ID prior to the clan being signed up to an event as they will not be allowed to add additional players once they have signed up. Clans with less than the minimum number of players in the locked roster for that gametype will be removed from the event without question. No member can be added on to the locked roster once it has closed. Removing a member from the clan also removes them from the locked roster.
1. Please try to challenge clans at least a week before the match. You may challenge clans at any time, but do not expect them to accept if they do not have enough notice. You can either make an 'official' (points scoring) challenge or a 'friendly' challenge.
2. Clans are permitted to play the same opponent more than once in the same week. The interval between games allowed is game specific and we advise you check your game specific rules for your statutory waiting period.
3. Please try to select the 'Map of the week' for your challenge, as it will help keep things more interesting. However, if you really do not want to play that map, you can select any other instead. 'Map of the week' matches receive extra points.
4. If your game allows two maps per match, the challenger can decide whether to play one map or two. The challenger selects both maps. Please see game specific rules for information about number of maps.
5. In your challenge you should specify what scoring method is to be used. Please see the game specific rules for scoring types.
6. If you use certain anti-cheat software on your server, please specify that in your challenge.
7. Any match setting that is requested in a challenge & accepted by the other clan must be adhered to.
8. Additional rules or settings may only be listed in the challenge details. Rules or settings that are different to the default ones of your game may only be listed in the challenge details. Any listed in any other location, including your clan details page do not apply. Rules and settings listed elsewhere are not binding and you may lose the match by default if you conflict regarding rules and settings listed anywhere other than the challenge details. When accepting a match you accept all the standard rules of EnemyDown plus any additional rules listed in the challenge details.
1. You do not have to accept challenges if you do not want to. If you do not want to play a clan on a certain date, you are allowed to refuse. However, we recommend that you challenge your opponents for another date.
2. Clans can reject up to 6 challenges between official matches (see 'clan inactivity' for penalties). If you reject or cancel a match, you will get a 'red block' added. If you reschedule the match, the 'red block' will be removed. When an official match result is entered, your 'red blocks' are reset.
3. All times should be treated as UK (GMT/UTC/CET-1/CEST-1) times unless otherwise stated in the challenge.
1. If a clan hasn't played an official match for a set period, they will be made inactive and penalised. Inactive periods vary between ladders. Clans lose 1 point per day.
2. If a clan also have 6 'red blocks' due to rejecting 6 challenges or more, they will also lose 3 points per day.
3. If a clan doesn't play for a number of weeks, they will be made inactive and will not be shown in the ladder rankings. Please check with your game specific rules for the standard inactivity period.
4. Inactive clan pages on ED will not be handed over to other people who do not have any original claim to it. Clans may reform and take over old accounts however no other group will be allowed to inherit an inactive clans' points.
1. You can cancel a match at any time, however, you cannot cancel a game on match day.
2. If you did not specify the server IP or password in the challenge, please make sure you send the match details to the other clan, either by email, instant messenger or on IRC. You can find these contact details on your opponents Clan Information page.
3. Clans are expected to be on the server and ready to play with the minimum number of players at the scheduled or agreed upon time. Any clan that fails to be present with the minimum amount of players and ready to play on a server 15 minutes after the match start time may forfeit the match. The other clan may be awarded a default win.
1. Downloadable server configs can be found on our stuff page. There is a recommended setup for use with ED matches. Normally they should be used, however certain settings can be changed if both clans agree before the game. For game settings, please see the game specific rules.
1. Clans can field a team with a maximum of 2 players less than the other team. For example, if it is 6v6 you can field a team of 4; if it is 8v8 you can field a team of 6. There is a minimum of 4 players a side. If a clan fails to field the minimum amount of players, the other clan can claim a default (no show) win before the game begins. If both teams allow the game to start they accept the number of players and cannot use this rule as grounds for a default post match. You may not claim a default for a player dropping after the game starts and reducing the team to 3 players.
- For games with less than 4v4 (2v2/3v3 for example) both teams must have the correct number of players on the server (2 or 3) without exception. 2v2/3v3 games the take place without the correct number of players will be voided by an admin. No-shows are deemed as not having the correct number of players ready to go by 15minutes past start time.
2. Clans are expected to check the server before the game. You cannot blame the server once the game has started. If server conditions are not mutually agreeable then a server change can be requested. Should no server be available then the match can either be rescheduled for an alternative date/time or mutually voided.
3. You should check that all players are registered before you begin your game. All discrepancies should be sorted before you start. Player checks after the match are deemed too late and cannot be used to conflict a result. Rule 3.4 is the only exception to this clause.
4. No spectators are allowed on a server during a match unless both clans agree otherwise.
5. The match will be played on the agreed map(s).
6. Voice communication programs such as Team Speak and Ventrilo are allowed.
7. In the event of a server crash, if both teams can agree upon the remaining time and score, the map will be restarted with the remaining time and score intact. If there is a dispute the entire map (or half map dependant on how far through the game has been played) will be restarted. In the event that a team loses a player due to connectivity issues, the team may substitute the player immediately with someone from their roster.
8. Substitutions: Due to the nature of the internet, it is possible for players to be disconnected from the internet or dropped from a server. Should this happen you may substitute an eligible player to fill the spot or the dropped player may rejoin. However, upon joining the server the player must rejoin their respective team immediately.
1. After the match has taken place you must submit the match result on the 'match planner' page. Once one clan has entered the result, the other clan must confirm it. When the result has been confirmed, the ladder rankings will be updated.
2. If you do not agree with the entered result, you can input the correct result. If this still isn't agreed upon you can submit a 'match conflict'. Please fill in the form with as much detail as possible, and please explain clearly why there is a problem. Please also include links to screenshots/evidence etc. This report will then be looked at by an Enemy Down admin. The decision will not be immediate and you may have to wait several days for the result to be sorted. The result will either be entered by the admin, or the fixture will be deleted. The admins' decision is final.
3. Do not make a habit of disputing results. Our concern is to have a fun and clean place to play. Although the dispute process is necessary in helping keep a clean match, teams who make it a habit to dispute often with frivolous reasons will subject themselves to possible suspension.
4. Clans are entitled to 7 days in which to either confirm or conflict a result. After the 7 day period has expired an admin will confirm the result on your behalf. In the case of overdue fixtures relating to Events, this period may be reduced and will be reflected in the specific Event rules.
1. If a clan leaves a ladder, either by promotion or just dropping out, they will lose their ranking in that ladder. Clans cannot get back their position and will have to re-enter.
2. Clans cannot get promotion if they have outstanding results. All outstanding matches will have to be played and results entered before the clan can be promoted.
1. As a general rule, ED allows up to 500 grams of cheddar cheese consumption on match day. All other varieties are strictly forbidden.
1. Clans that have more than one registered team in ED cannot play official ladder matches against one another if they are in the same ladder, or compete in the same League Division or Cup. 1st and 2nd Teams however can play friendly matches. In the event of 1st and 2nd teams being drawn against each other in a cup or league, an admin will preside over the game to ensure no foul play.
1. Admins reserve the right to remove any player or clan at any time. If a clan or user is the source of numerous complaints they will be asked to leave ED. We try to be a friendly community and we don't want the minority spoiling it.
2. Please make yourself familiar with the Fair Play Policy in order to enhance your gaming experience at EnemyDown.
3. All prize winners should be aware that it can take up to 28 working days to receive prizes. This is to account for bank clearing systems, postal services and other circumstances which are outwith our control.
4. Any and all Rules are subject to review and change without prior notice.
